Hi! i'm Mauricio

a Film Director from Colombia 

Each project I have worked on has left me with a special lesson in my memory; from commercials, digital content, television and to feature films such as: “El Cartel de los Sapos”, “Moda Mia”, “Dedicada a Mi Ex” and “La fortuna é in un altro Biscotto”.

Since my graduation as Director and Producer at the Manuela Beltrán University, I have not stopped; always giving the best that I can, in each place and project in which I worked. I had the opportunity to work for advertising agencies, film producers and on national television. I worked as a director at RCN TV with the channel's digital team, where I wrote and directed a large number of pieces to promote the channel's series on social networks and landing pages, as well as coordinating a production team dedicated to differential content.

I have worried about never stopping studying and learning about my trade. I have experience and knowledge in dramaturgy and copywriting for writing fiction scripts and for brands. Also directing actors: I have done different studies in places like Meisner International, the ASAB Academy of Arts and the National Film School.

Lately I directed my first film, "Ricardito el Tiburón" produced by Ahora! Film in Italy. In which I held the position of coordinator and director: – we were a small team, but very talented! –

It excites me to know new life stories and different perspectives, for this reason I have undertaken some trips where I have worked on incredible projects in Colombia and in Europe, as a director, screenwriter and assistant director. – I have that naive idea that everything is possible. – Projects like “Sulle Nostre Strade” produced by CineGiovani were very well received in Italy, something that fills me with pride as a director.

I am one of those professionals who have worked in almost all positions in an audiovisual production, learning and admiring the work of everyone, from production assistance to direction, production and editing.I consider myself a dynamic, honest and fair person, also a passionate dreamer.
